Fuel briquettes or sunflower husk pellets are produced from dry and shredded sunflower husk by pressing under high pressure and temperature. During the production process, moisture is released from the raw material and lignin binds the briquette together. The output is a strong dry fuel briquette with excellent characteristics. Fuel pellets from sunflower husk have high density, long burning time and good heat output. Sealed packaging keeps them dry and makes them easy to store. Comparing, for example, fuel briquettes from sunflower husk and firewood, it can be noted that if the same amount of fuel is put in the furnace, the heat from the fuel briquettes is much more. At the same time, the burning time of such Eurobriquettes is twice as long as the usual wood analogues.

Features

• calorific value is 17000-19000 kJ/kg, which is higher than that of wood pellets and comparable to some types of coal;
• the combustion of 2000 kg of husk pellets releases as much heat energy as the combustion of 3200 kg of wood, 957 m³ of gas, 1000 litres of diesel and 1370 litres of fuel oil;
• burning of husk briquette pellets in the furnace of a boiler or cooker is more efficient, the amount of ash does not exceed 3% of the total volume of pellets used.

Sunflower husk pellets are a by-product from the production of vegetable oil. They are cylindrical pellets, up to 50 mm long and 4-10 mm in diameter; their density is up to 1.2 thousand kg per cubic metre and humidity is up to 8%. Such pellets are produced from ground sunflower seed husks by pressing at high temperature and without adding any binding material.
